Opportunity for good will, cimmunity building, fun, missed.

 

Sept. 10, approximately 100 Becker alumni gathered for the annual All School Amumni Luncheon. We met, hugged, talked, laughed, remembered high school days in Becker. In my class, classmates came form Texas, Arizona, California, South Dakota, and communities around Becker. Vacation plans were made with the reunion a must. 

 

They were dismayed to find we were not meeting in Becker. Our gorgeous Pebble Creek and clubhouse was not accomodating and we were hosted at Russell’s in Big Lake. The planning committee did a great job.

 

Food was good, friendships renewed, stories told, program presented, but it was not home!

 

Problem needs to be solved, so we can again meet in our hometown. 

 

We have wonderful resources, like the Community Center, City Park and Pebble Creek. Let’s not let anything change that! They need to be available for gatherings to bring people to Becker. Re-connecting with home town and school is priceless! Oportunity missed!
