To The Editor

One question I have is who is and who is not suggesting the golf course close or leave Becker?

The only relative difference among residents is whether or not the city should be subsidizing the golf course versus those that reject the idea. In the private sector Pebble Creek can still be everything it is now serving as a destination point for people from outside the city and providing golf for local residents.

It can continue to partner with corporations and non-profits to raise money for charitable organizations, provide jobs, attract new businesses and residents, which in turn can create additional revenue the city could collect to utilize in other areas of the city and most importantly, it would no longer be a topic for discussion or conflict between residents and the city council.

Perhaps then they could move on from all the negative talk and actually agree on something that may help the residents of Becker.

As for you Mr. Morgan, unless you are planning to move to Becker and contribute your share of the tax revenue to keep a poorly managed business afloat, please keep your  opinion to yourself as it really does not apply to you in any way.  Just write the news as it is, not as you see it. I am sure the residents of Becker do not need you to break down the math for them.

Lucky Balin,
Becker, MN.
