As the election season takes shape the race for mayor between current Mayor Lefty Kleis and Tracy Bertram is sure to be spirited. Unfortunately, one individual is using social media to run a negative campaign against one of the candidates. Without knowing if the candidate this individual supports approves of the efforts of this individual, I do not believe that either candidate would want to be aligned with obscene or abusive language against the other, not to mention half truths. 

 

Social media is a great tool to reach people. Keep in mind what you post, including your name, is out there for everyone to see. One of the candidates has chosen to try and run a positive campaign by facing the voters one house, business and resident at a time without another persons help. Receiving praise and criticism by addressing peoples concerns in person is much better than resorting to the same sort of tactics we are seeing take place at the national level. I believe most  residents of Becker know the difference between honor and contempt and the candidate that embraces honor will be better for it, win or lose.
