One of the key initiatives that we have implemented to foster a positive school climate is the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. PBIS is a proactive approach that promotes positive behavior, reduces disciplinary issues, and improves overall student outcomes. It is designed to create a positive, predictable, and safe environment for all students in all school settings.

Through our PBIS program, we teach and reinforce positive behaviors and social-emotional skills to help students navigate social situations, resolve conflicts, and show empathy towards others. By implementing PBIS school-wide, we ensure that all students receive consistent expectations and support throughout their educational journey.

Specific PBIS initiatives are tailored to meet the needs of students at different grade levels. These initiatives focus on creating a positive school climate by teaching appropriate behaviors, promoting positive relationships, and providing students with the skills to become respectful and responsible individuals. A large portion of PBIS is evaluation of data on student discipline, which we continually monitor and present annually to the public through school board meetings.
