Press That Delightful Young Soul To You

Last week we said farewell to the graduating seniors at Becker High School.

They heard all kinds of congratulatory and suggested messages.

Allow me, too.

Having gone through school, the great majority of you have demonstrated a keenness to overcome obstacles and to achieve.

You’ve demonstrated a willingness to do well - and then get better.

Whatever your future job may be, be the best you can be.

    Be the best plumber.

    Be the best caretaker.

    Be the best dentist.

    Be the best farmer.

Excellence in life’s chores, on and off the job, is a highly contagious thing. Your excellence will demonstrate to others it should be important to all.

Wherever you settle down, look around your neighborhood. Find persons who aren’t as fortunate as you and help them.;
The rewards to you will outweigh the effort you put forth.

Lastly, get mentally prepared for the biggest obligation of your life., child raising. Approximately 80% of you will enter relationships that bear children.

Love those children, especially on “bad” days.

Put them to your chest and hug them and hold them. Beating hearts can be heard and felt.

Read them a book - and always have a book lying nearby.

Books are the most important element of our nation.

Raising children is the most on-the-job-training you will ever experience.

And your kids will be depending on you.

Make their lives even better than yours. That will be youg lasting legacy.

Congratulations - and have a Happy Life.
