Letters To The Editor

TO THE EDITOR:

We have had four years of peace under Trump in the Middle East and in 4 months, it has become a mecca of death and destruction.  Plus, how does one defend $28 billion taken from covid funds  and given to migrant care as we are now spending $60 million a week to care for illegal border crossers?  Over 584,000 since January and one million projected by mid summer.  That is what happens when you literally invite them from now 60 different countries which is what the border patrol has said.  Humanitarianism is a good thing but breaking the taxpayers back is another.  All for votes of course.  Hard to believe but the Mpls city council is debating replacing the Mpls police dept.  I say with what?  Brooklyn Center is developing a civilian patrol group who will be handling traffic violations.  I choose not to volunteer.  And why are inspectors or reporters not allowed in Wuhan laboratories yet?  What could they be hiding?  In 4 months we have gone from 100% energy independent to increased dependence on foreign energy and gas lines.  And just when are parents going to rise up against the pornographic books that many U.S. schools are now giving to middle school students.  Time for parents to monitor their schools in every way.  This back to the future agenda of the Biden administration and the crisis we face on every front is an eye opener for those who paid no attention prior to 2021 election.

TO THE EDITOR:

I wanted to give a shout out to all those involved in the Becker Middle and High School’s outdoor theater productions of Pirates of Penzance and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown.

Both shows were perfect for the outside venue. The acting, directing, choreography, music, sound, and costumes were all amazing. It was like watching professionally done shows at one of the big theme parks.

I had the privilege and honor of building the sets for these wonderful students so had a first-hand look at the whole process of putting the shows together.  The seniors in the production were true leaders and encouraging to all.  Everyone did a great job and I look forward to many more quality programs in the future.

Thank you Becker Theater Students and Staff.

Sincerely,
