Letters To The Editor

TO THE EDITOR:

Political truth can be elusive, especially during an election year. Like many people, I am not always sure what to believe, especially when reading or hearing statements contradicting each other. It has been said that a lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting its shoes on. Our beliefs are often stronger than truth. We like to believe everything we believe in is true. But is it always? I have found there is help available to fact check information and in doing research, I usually find answers to the truthfulness of something about which I am not sure. I have included some of the sites I use that have been helpful in discovering answers: www.allsides.com, www.politifact.com, www.factcheck.org and www.verifythis.com.

TO THE EDITOR:

As I write this today, the election is 74 days away. I have been following it closely. In late November of 2021, I was laying in bed at Mercy Hospital waiting for open heart surgery. I was wondering if I would make it to the 2024 election. It looks very good that I will make it as my heart is doing well. Well, Kamala has chosen her running mate and he is as far to the left as she is. If they go too the far to the left when they are “walzing” around the stage at their rallies, they will fall off the edge! Gov. Walz has brought Minnesota to be one of the four worst abortion states in the USA among New York, Illinois and California. It is amazing that New York City, Chicago, San Francisco and Minneapolis are probably the four worst crime cities in America also. I have been watching Fox News this afternoon and I was thrilled to hear Bob Kennedy Jr. give a speech and is taking his name off the ballot for the 10 close battleground states. He put his endorsement on former President Donald Trump. If the election were held next Tuesday, Trump/Vance would win. Praise the Lord! I hope it gets better as the days tick off before the election, America cannot take another four years of Democratic policies.

TO THE EDITOR:

In response  to Mark Thelen’s rebuttal of my editorial of August 17 a few points. My criticism of Czar Waltz was neither bitter nor harsh. The Governor and his policies are open to criticism especially given his total distain for anyone who opposes him.

And please sir,  list or point out ONE hard hiiting indepth unbiased peace of reporting done by anyone in the Minnesota news media regarding Czar Waltz. Here is a small list the swooning press wouldn’t touch. *Covid Response. ..nothing! *Largest Covid fraud case in the US....nothing! *Morgue fiasco...nothing! *Failure to repair dams, bridges and highways deemed unsafe..nothing! *Stolen Valor...nothing! *Failure to respond quickly during Floyd riots and this years major floods..nothing! *Czar Waltz daughter informing Floyd protesters where NG and police will be stationed....nothing! The list is endless. If Calling the Governor Czar Waltz offends you....I’ll appease you and will no longer use that title. Does tampon Tim work for you? And feel free to to call me Gorgeous George and Georgie Porgie. Georgie  Porgie is a great song by the rock group TOTO. Thankfully national news outlets are doing the in--depth  investigative reporting on tampon Tim that our mail in reporters wont.
