TO THE EDITOR:
On May 9th, a follow up Public Hearing on the Environmental Assessment for the Sherco Solar 3 project was held at the Becker Community Center. The majority of the citizens that attended that provided comments were not at all pleased with what was presented by Xcel, the PUC and the Department of Commerce. Unlike the earlier November Public Hearing which was only documented through a written transcript, I decided to video record this one and post it on Rumble at the following link. https://rumble.com/v4uhx25-sherco-solar-3-public-hearing-20240509.html. While the meeting and video is 2 hours long, I hope that citizens who have an interest in this proposed solar field will take the time to view and/or listen to what was said, and then if you have any additional comments or concerns, submit them the PUC by the May 22nd deadline. Instructions on how to submit your comments can be found at the 4 minute, 14 second mark in the video.
