TO THE EDITOR:

God made them male and female. (Genesis 1:27)  Males have an X and a Y chromosome; females have two X chromosomes.  That’s science.  Yet “experts” claim differently, but they control money and media.  A week ago, the MN Department of Corrections (aka: the experts) announced that an inmate will be transferred from Moose Lake (males) to Shakopee (females), following the award of $495,00 for vaginoplasty surgery and legal fees.  Lusk, father of two children who was arrested on a felony drug charge in 2018, pleaded guilty and was incarcerated in Moose Lake, was twice denied a request for transfer to a female facility.  Lusk claimed harassment by inmates and guards and discomfort with males in shared bathroom facilities.  What about all the discomfort felt by young girls changing in front of the transgender athletes in the same locker rooms?  Is not their mental health and concerns for physical safety valid issues?  According to Pew Research, 60% of Americans believe that personal sexual identity is determined at birth and even more believe that self-claimed transgender athletes should compete with other of the same birth gender.  Similar numbers prefer legislation to make it illegal to give hormone replacement therapy to or to perform sex-change surgery on minors.  Those are parents, not “experts.”
