TO THE EDITOR:

We are residents of Orrock Township and receive THE PATRIOT. I got a chuckle over Bill Morgan’s editorial titled “ ‘Tis the Season of Complaining.” Bill’s concluding comments about the Savior are appreciated! Well said! Although we tend to do more in Zimmerman, which is closer to us than Big Lake, and we have no children or grandchildren involved in activities at the local schools, it is still nice to have some inkling of what is going on in the area. The recent article about the family who prepared more than 3,000 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas was very inspiring, and I think it gives people a sense of pride to learn of the good things that are going on in the Becker, Big Lake, Clear Lake, Clearwater and surrounding communities. So keep up the good work and don’t bother with the naysayers!
