In the time of ancient Israel, people were into all kinds of sin, the worst being idol worship. People in those times sacrificed children on the altar in order to appease their gods. It was an act most people today would consider barbaric. So did God, and Israel was severely punished. 

 

Yet, it’s an act still practiced today, a breaking of the sixth commandment. It’s called abortion. Some women think they have a right to do what they please with their bodies. This is true to an extent. But from the moment of conception, there’s another person to consider, one who doesn’t deserve to be thrown away like so much garbage. Women who believe abortion to be okay are either ignorant or without conscience. 

 

Abortion from conception on should by law be considered murder, and the women who have it done prosecuted along with the doctors for hire who perform it. People all across our country need to push legislators to pass laws that protect the unborn and abolish laws that support the taking of innocent lives. We also need more of God in our country.
