LETTER TO EDITOR

They say “it takes a village,” & by golly, my village showed up. I am baffled & still in disbelief about the support our community provided for my family & I at The Cancer Sucks Pool Tournament at Beck’s Pub earlier this month. The donations were beyond anything my husband or I could have ever imagined.  I am proud to be a part of the Becker community. The individuals who showed up, proved that you don’t have to know someone personally to support them.  So many of those who were in attendance, did not know me or my family personally.  They came together because cancer, in some way, has touched their lives. 

Saying thank you does not seem adequate for the support we were given, but thank you is all I have to give at this time.  Thank you to the employees at Beck’s Pub for being so amazing & hosting this event. Thank you to the volunteers who put this event on, year after year, to help support someone in need.  Thank you to the many community members who came out to play pool, donate, or just say hi. Thank you to all of the businesses, business owners, & individuals who graciously donated items for the silent & live auction. My husband & I will forever be grateful for the support & are excited to pay it forward & be a part of this extraordinary event next year!
