Letter to Editor

TO THE EDITOR:

Since 2010, CDC estimates that influenza has resulted in between 9 million to 45 million illnesses, between 140,000 to 810,000 hospitalizations, and 12,000 to 61,000 deaths annually; and this happened when we had flu vaccines.

At least 68,000.00 of the deaths from COVID-19 in the United States happened with residents and workers in nursing homes.

Nine companies are in the third and last phase of testing a vaccine for COVID-19.  This is good news for America and no one should try to scare people from taking the vaccine approved by the medical and science profession (which is always the protocol).

On January 21, 2020 we had our first case of the virus in the state of Washington (not death) and our President closed the China border on January 31st just ten days later. I am not sure why people started calling President Trump a racist for doing that or for calling it the “China Virus” or “Wuhan virus” when that was where it originated.   Two of the people at that time that called him a racist were Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi, yet now, they are saying he did not act quick enough.
