TO THE EDITOR:

I constantly hear how everybody wants ethics and transparency in government. There has been a single government official I see that from daily. Sherburne County Commissioner Tim Dolan responds every single time a citizen has a question, a kudo, or criticism.  

A good government official, in a non-partisan seat, doesn’t show political biases, listens to the citizens, ponders all sides of an issue and intelligently steps into each decision with facts and an open mind – this is Mr. Dolan. He always explains his thoughts and stances on issues and humbly asks for input when he wants to know what we think. 

We cannot afford to lose his vision, intelligence and transparency. I truly believe that every decision he makes is to the benefit of our county.  

The push to make Sherburne County a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary County has been whipped into a big issue this election cycle. Commissioner Dolan supports the 2A and is a gun owner himself. Please look back at Mr. Dolan's interactions and explanations about this issue. I am a pro-2A citizen and I wholeheartedly agree with his stance on this issue. The more you research your candidates, the better our government bodies will be. So please, take the time to make the right choice based on facts, not signs and rumors.
