TO THE EDITOR:
I read Mr. Wittwer's letter in your December 12th issue and applaud him for stepping forward and saying what the majority of people are thinking. I for one do care about my health. When shopping locally, if I enter the store and see someone without a mask, I will leave! Business owners need to step up and enforce the mandate. Intelligent people realize these are difficult social and economical times for everyone. I think every business owner should post Mr. Wittwer's MASK REQUIRED FOR SERVICE in their windows as a reminder what is needed/required to shop. Just in case you didn't see it, here is a 'slim-down' version for you to post on your door.
* This is not a hoax so do not pout, whine or argue
* Do not harass the employees
* Do not spout conspiracy theories or regurgitate misinformation from Facebook, Twitter or other social media sites.
*This is NOT a political or constitutional issue but rather a health and safety issue
With the vaccine becoming available, by no means does this mean masks and social distancing will go away anytime soon. Lock-downs will hopefully become less as we follow the science and start acting like rational people who care about our friends, neighbors and community.
