WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S - Different Walk - Same Reason

This year the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is continuing & is everywhere. Instead of hosting large gatherings, the Alzheimer’s Association is encouraging participants to walk in small groups or as individuals.

Becker Area Senior Center will be participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® IN BECKER.  We are inviting Becker residents to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s by joining the Becker Super Seniors team, you can register online to walk or donate at http://act.alz.org/walk. If you are not comfortable registering online, you will find a paper donation form on the bulletin board in Becker City Hall AND on the BASC bulletin board near the Becker library entrance. If you or your friends cannot walk in person on Sept 12 in support of our team, ask them to join others across the country through virtual participation at the link above. When you register online you will receive a call with more information or you may call Carol Brunn – 320-248-5976.  We as a community want to raise awareness for this disease that is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States & affects nearly six million Americans & 99,000 Minnesotans.

If you are journeying  with a loved one who has dementia/alzheimer & seeking support, call the Alzheimer’s Association helpline at 800-272-3900. Website:  http://act.alz.org/walk They are there to help you 24/7.
