Women, Infants and Children (WIC): is a federally-funded health and nutrition education program that provides free supplemental foods to promote good health for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age five. Clinics are located in Becker and Elk River. Clinic dates and hours vary, and appointments are required. You will need to bring proof of identity, address, and income to determine your eligibility. The food packages are prescribed based on the nutritional needs of the participant and the age and feeding status of your children. Children in foster care or children receiving SSI or TEFRA are eligible. You or your children may be eligible for WIC. Kids Klinic: provides health maintenance checkups and immunizations for children from birth through 20 years of age. Clinic hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fees are based on Medicaid eligibility but services are not denied due to inability to pay. If your insurance does not cover well child care and immunizations, if you have a high deductible, or if you have no health insurance for your children, we offer a sliding fee for physicals and a $5 donation per immunization.
