Big Lake Community Food Shelf

Due to the global health pandemic, volunteers are urgently needed at the Big Lake Community Food Shelf.  Volunteers are utilized in a variety of roles, from helping participants with intake paperwork, to no-client contact of packaging food items into boxes and bags, there is a role for everyone.  Precautions are in place to ensure volunteers’ health and safety. 

Greeter at Sherburne County Government Center

This is your time to give back to the community by serving at the Sherburne County Government Center!  Answer the phone and direct patrons to where they need to go. Help your local government today!  Background check will be required prior to volunteering.  Pre-service training provided!  Precautions are in place to ensure volunteers’ health and safety.  

Tutor Volunteer with Metro North Adult Basic Education

Help teach adults in the Elk River community learn the English language, and potentially earn their high school diploma equivalent.  Volunteers needed to assist students on a one-on-one basis under an ABE instructor.  Volunteering can be done in person or via virtual opportunities.  Flexible schedules and training provided.  Precautions are in place to ensure volunteers’ health and safety.
