**Critical Need for Volunteers

Food Service with Elk River Senior Dining

Volunteers are desperately in need to assist in cleaning up the dining area before and after meals.  If kitchen help isn’t your thing, volunteers also help in welcoming and registering seniors as they come in for their lunchtime meal.  Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday from 10:00 – 1:00 pm at the Senior Dining Site in Elk River.  

Meals on Wheels Drivers

Consider a hot meal when you are unable to cook for yourself… So important!  Delivery drivers are needed to ensure that those in need receive mid-day meals.  Drivers needed Mon-Fri.  Each route takes about an hour to deliver.  Volunteers are needed to deliver meals out of Becker, Big Lake, Elk River and Zimmerman to those waiting in and around each of those communities.  Offer to deliver from a community near you once per month, once per week, or even more!

Blood Pressure Recorder with Guardian Angels

Take and record blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen level, and weigh of independent seniors.  Knowledge of normal levels is required, and CNA, LPN, or RN experience is preferred.  Clinics most in critical need of volunteers are in Zimmerman on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 9-10:00 am and in Becker on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 9-9:30 am.
