RSVP VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

RSVP / The Volunteer Bridge

Tech Helper with Senior Community Services

Imagine how difficult it can be for some to navigate technology.  Help older adults in your community learn how to use a new smartphone, set up Zoom on their laptop, or get around a new tablet computer.  Basic technology knowledge is all that is needed and can go a long way to help others.  This position will be hosted at the Elk River Library and have some flexibility in scheduling.

Communication Leader with the Elk River Activity Center

Do you enjoy being part of a group and fun conversation? This might be the perfect opportunity for you! Help lead a circle of conversation at the Elk River Activity Center.  There is some flexibility as to when the volunteer can host the group, and the volunteer will be able to direct and lead conversation.  An interview process will take place to be sure the volunteer is the right fit.

Performer with RSVP Reader’s Theater

Encourage the joy of reading to students in Preschool through 5th grade by performing from a scripted story.  Classic books come alive when Readers Theater members read allowed to students.  If your voice can carry and you have an expressive manner, this could be a great opportunity for you.  Practices 1-2 times a month is required. Performances may take place outdoors in parks, within the schools, and/or via recorded performances to be sent to students.
