Red Cross Disaster Action Team Dispatcher/Responder – Receive training from the American Red cross to assist those experiencing a crisis in central Minnesota.  Dispatchers field emergency calls to the Red Cross for local disasters (typically a house fire) and immediately find and contact the nearest Red Cross Volunteer Responder to travel to the scene.   Dispatchers serve two 8 hour on-call shifts per month and must have phone and internet access at all times during on-call shift.   Responders travel to the scene of a disaster and serve as the Red Cross representative.  Responders are equipped to offer the full spectrum of Red Cross services to those affected by the incident, including shelter, clothing and food. Contact Amber - amber.christie@redcross.org - 320-251-7641.

Transportation – There are many community members who have no transportation to vital medical or human service appointments, primarily due to age or disability.  Volunteer to use your personal vehicle to transport TriCAP clients to these important destinations.  Drivers are notified in advance and are reimbursed for all miles driven.  Days and times needed vary and are flexible for any schedule! Needed from all Sherburne County locations to appointments in St. Cloud, Monticello, Princeton and the Twin Cities metro area.  Background, driver record and medical screenings required. Men’s Group – Gather together the male residents at Shepherd of Grace senior apartments in Becker for a time just for the guys.  Visit about favorite topics, play a game, share a treat? Whatever appeals to the group.  2-4 times per month for 1-2 hours per visit.  Contact: Jenny -  jennyzimmer@gsc-mn.org - 320-258-8661.
