Community Mentor with Big Brother Big Sister Program

Provide one on one youth mentoring to children facing adversity by providing a caring environment.  Meet with your “Little” three to four times a month.  Matches play board games, go bowling, attend the movies, do arts and crafts, play sports, and enjoy fishing, among many other opportunities.  Many children are waiting for their Mentor so join today!

Court Watch with Rivers of Hope

Attend court and bail hearings in Sherburne and/or Wright Counties to gain information on specific offenders to then report back to Rivers of Hope staff via email, dropping into the building, or from a phone call.  Ability to attend court at 10:30 am in Sherburne and/or Wright counties Monday through Friday, and late afternoons on weekdays.  Volunteers can pick which days/sessions of court to attend.

Tutor with Metro North Adult Basic Education

Work either one-on-one or in small groups with adults working.  Many adults are working towards obtaining their GED, Adult Diploma, or learning new skills.  Offer support in the areas of reading, writing, math, science, or social studies.  Some adults are learning English as a second language, so assisting in language learning is common.

If you are interested in volunteering in these or other opportunities, please contact:
