Metro North Adult Basic Education – Students of all ages started educational programs this fall! Help teach adults in the Elk River community learn the English language, and potentially earn their high school diploma equivalent. Volunteers needed to assist students on a one-on-one basis under an ABE instructor. Flexible schedules and training provided.
Sherburne County Driver’s License and Recording Assistant – Help is needed in the Recording office at the Sherburne Government building! Be the point of contact for individuals coming in to receive service, help direct patrons to the correct paperwork, and assist in answering questions. Background check will be required prior to volunteering. Pre-service training provided! Precautions are in place to ensure volunteers’ health and safety.
BBBS Virtual Mentor – With these uncertain times, the youth and families Big Brothers Big Sisters serve are among the hardest hit, and they are doing everything they can to keep them safe and supported. Children are needing mentorship now more than ever! They now offer virtual matching - you can attend an Info Session, be interviewed and meet your Little through Zoom! This is a one-on-one volunteer opportunity to provide friendship and guidance to a child in Central MN. The volunteer will meet with their Little 3 - 4 times a month for 12 months.
