Becker Legion And Auxiliary Meeting 

– Is the second Wednesday of every month at 8 p.m.
 
Clear Lake Legion  and Auxiliary 
- Meets the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at Palmer Town Hall. The Auxiliary will also meet at the same time. New members always welcome.

Monticello Cancer Center Offering Free Nutrition Class for Cancer Patients and Survivors
– On the second Wednesday of every month at 1 p.m. at the Monticello Cancer Center.

Knitting/Crochet Night
– Is the first and third Tuesday night of each month at Cafe Pawz, 6:30-8:30 p.m., join as your schedule allows. All ages and levels of yarn lovers welcome.  Working towards creating items to donate locally if you'd like to help.
 
Becker Lions Collecting Items To Recycle 
– items are: eye glasses, hearing aids, cell phones and printer ink cartridges. 
Collection boxes are located at the Becker Community Center (entryway) and Insight Eye care.

2014-2015 Becker Blaze Youth Soccer
-Fall registration is due Aug. 8, spring registration is due Aug. 15 for 2014-2015 travel soccer. Information and forms available at beckeryouthsoccer.com or at the Becker Community Education Office.
 
Becker School Conferences
-Parents of Becker Primary and Intermediate School students may begin using the Skyward Family Web access to begin scheduling 2014-2015 fall assessments and conferences on Mon., Aug. 11 at 8:00 a.m.  Each student will have a one- to two-hour to attend school with a parent.  Primary school has appointments from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tue., Sept. 2 and 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wed., Sept. 3.  Intermediate school has appointments from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Tue., Sept. 2 and 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wed., Sept. 3.
 
Clearwater- Clear Lake Food Shelf
 -is open Mon. 5:30-7 pm, Tues. 9-11 am and 6-8 pm, Wed. 3-5 pm and is in the brown Lions Community Building beneath the water tower in Clearwater.  We service residents of Clearwater and Clear Lake.
 
Haitian Hustle 5K for Education
-Haitian Hustle 5K 4th annual Fun Run for education is scheduled for August 16 at 9 am at Becker High School. Kids 1 mile and short race to follow. 2nd Annual Golf Fundraiser
-proceeds go to Dylan’s Hope Foundation. The 4-person scramble will be held at Pebble Creek Golf Course, Fri,. Aug. 8, check in at 11 a.m., shotgun start at 1 p.m. Prizes for 1st place group, hole prizes, raffle and silent auction. Visit www.dylanshopefoundation.org for more information.

Aging in Place
- is a workshop for those caring for a senior loved one such as a spoise, family member or friend. The workshop will be held at the Monticello Community Center, in the Bridge Room on Mon. -The August 12 meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, August 13, due to primary elections.

Snake River Hymn Sing

-will be having a annual member meeting at the Palmer Town Hall on August 9 at 10 a.m. 2015 budget adoption and Euraisan watermilfoil treatment on the agenda.

-School District PTSA Calendars are here! Stop in at the Becker Schools District Community Ed. office  or Becker Community Center to pick up your pre-ordered calendar or purchase one for just $10 at Sherburne State Bank and Becker Community Center.   All proceeds from the calendar, will be distributed right back into the school district through the PTSA. 35th Annual Clear Lake Lions & Lionesses BBQ
-Sunday, August 10 from 11 a.m. - 6  p.m., the Clear Lake Lions & Lionesses is the 35th annual Chicken and Corn Barbecue at the Chet Goenner Pavilion/Clear Lake Ball Park.
 
Santiago Fun Fest
-is on Sunday, August 23 at the Santiago Ballpark, starting at 10 a.m. All funds raised will go back to the community.
