Briggs Chain Association General Meeting

 Sat., June 11, 10 a.m. at Palmer Park, for all members and new people interested in the Briggs Chain Lake Association.

 

The Becker VFW Post 193 will be hosting a dinner at the Becker Community Center Mon., May 30, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Turkey or ham with all the trimmings. Adults $9, ages 5-12 $4, 5 and under are free, all veterans $5. 

 

St. Cloud Area Parkinson's Disease (PD) Support Group

St. Cloud Area Parkinson's Disease (PD) Support Group

"Nordic Walking" presented by Linda Lemke starting fourth Monday 9-10 a.m. by the granite fountains at Lake George. Poles, fitting, instructions and good conversation provided. This is a free group and anyone is welcome to attend. Call 952-475-0891.

Sherburne County Outstanding Senior Citizen

The nomination period for Sherburne Co. Outstanding Senior Citizen is now open. The following programs and activities are being offered. Computer and Internet Help, 12-1 p.m., Tues., June 7. Adult computer users can receive help learning basic computer operations. Contact the library to make an appointment for individualized assistance. Spring Forest QiGongWed., June 8, 6:30-8 p.m. Adults, teens and children are invited to learn the movements, postures and breathing that are designed to increase self-awareness, build internal energy, and develop a healthy mind, body and spirit.

Clearwater Area Friends of the Library, Wed., June 8 at 6:30 p.m. Join this group if you are interested in supporting your local library. Topics for discussion include fundraising, decorations and programs. Memory Writers Group, Thurs.,  June 9, 10-11 a.m. Adults are invited to join. Look for us at Becker Community Center’s  “Open Street’s Becker” on Monday night.  Then join us on Tues., June 14 at the BCC for coffee at 9am followed by a potluck lunch. Following our lunch, listen to Eddy Hughes as “ELVIS” with his band.  Finish the afternoon checking out “Classic Cars” from the St Cloud PanTowners Car Club. They will be with us from 1PM to 5PM.  On Thursday we will be back at our BASC home in Becker City Hall. Come for Coffee and stay to view the movie “The Blind Side”, to be shown at 12:30pm. On Saturday, be sure to give a thumbs up to our agile Seniors carrying our BASC banner during the City parade.
