Becker Friends of the Library

Becker Public Library is now accepting donations of gently used books for the May book sale. We can not accept textbooks, encyclopedias, outdated medical books, magazines, VHS movies or Readers Digest comdensed books. All proceeds benefit the library. April Wellness on Wheels Program

Tuesday, April 26, 2-6 p.m. at Annandale Marketplace. Public Health Nurses provide the Wellness on Wheels services. These services include: Immunizations for all ages, screening & individual consultations for blood pressure; (fasting) lipid panel cholesterol; (fasting) diabetes, (non-fasting) A1C diabetes, pregnancy, lead poisoning, hemoglobin and tuberculosis,  home radon & well test kits, child car seat safety checks; dental health & fluoride application, general health and community resource information. Fees & eligibility vary based on services. Challenges of Aging Seniors Workshop

Please join Partnership for Youth and Families on Tuesday, April 19 for our final free workshop of the 2015-16 year on The Challenges of Aging Seniors, addressing trends and challenges with seniors, strategies with driving and assessment of needs and placement. This free workshop is from 8:30-10 a.m. at the Health & Human Services Building, 1004 Commercial Drive, Buffalo.

 

Meditation can change your life! This is an eight-week mindfulness-based stress reduction course from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, April 5-May 24 in the Meditation Prayer Room at CentraCare Health Plaza. CentraCare Health’s 15th annual health education event is 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Sat., April 2, at CentraCare Health Plaza, 1900 CentraCare Circle, St. Cloud. The first phase of the Sherburne History Center’s Quilt Documentation project is wrapping up.
