Becker Legion And Auxiliary Meeting 
– Is the second Wednesday of every month at 8 p.m.
 
Clear Lake Legion & Auxiliary and Sons of American Legion
-Meets the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at Palmer Town Hall. The Auxiliary will also meet at the same time. New members always welcome.

Clear Lake Sons of the American Legion
 The Clear Lake Legion is sponsoring a SAL squadron, the charter application will be submitted in January. Eligible male descedents of legion members need to call Bud Stimmler   by Jan. 7 with questions or in order to have thier name on the charter. 320-761-5793.
 
Becker Cemetery Association
 -will hold thier annual meeting on Thurs. January 15 at 7 p.m. in the Becker Community Center. 
 
Monticello Cancer Center Offering Free Nutrition Class for Cancer Patients and Survivors
–On the second Wednesday of every month at 1 p.m. at the Monticello Cancer Center. For information about these informative nutrition education classes, call the Monticello Cancer Center at 763-271-2800.
 
Knitting/Crochet Night
– Is the first and third Tuesday night of each month at Cafe Pawz, 6:30-8:30 p.m., join as your schedule allows. All ages and levels of yarn lovers welcome. Working towards creating items to donate locally if you'd like to help.
 
Becker Lions Collecting Items To Recycle 
– items are: eye glasses, hearing aids, cell phones and printer ink cartridges. Collection boxes are located at the Becker Community Center (entryway) and Insight Eye care.
 
Becker AA Meeting
-Area 35 Alcoholics Anonymous District 5 meets Thursdays at 8 p.m. at Church of Mary of the Visitation (12100 Sherburne Ave.), Becker.

Wellness And Weight Loss Support Group
– At Palmer Township hall, 4180 - 105th Ave., Co. Rd. 6 and 42nd St., the second and fourth Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. Bring tips, recipes and topics of interest. Everyone welcome.
 
Clearwater-Clear Lake Food Shelf
 -is open Mon. 5:30-7 pm, Tues. 9-11 am and 6-8 pm, Wed. 3-5 pm and is in the brown Lions Community Building beneath the water tower in Clearwater.  We service residents of Clearwater and Clear Lake.
 
Computer Learning and More
 -at the ABE Computer Lab at Monticello Workforce Center. We also offer preparation for the Special Boiler’s License Examination and GED prep. All services are free and open to the public. You don’t have to be unemployed to use these services. Call to get started 763-271-3768. 
 
PTSA Opportunies

PTSA Family Movie Series Tickets
-Six movies for only $6. The Monticello 15 and Rogers 18 Theatres are offering this Family Movie Series. Movies begin showing on Sat. & Sun. Jan. 17 through Feb. 22 at 10:40 am and 1pm. This series of six movies offers a variety of entertainment for children of all ages and interest. The tickets may be purchased all ages two and up, including parents. Part of the proceeds of each ticket will be donated to the school.
 
Horseshoe Pitching
 -at the Becker Legion. We installed indoor pits and are looking for anyone interested. We have horseshoes you can use or bring your own. Come to the Becker Legion (1 Blk North of Hwy 10 on Hancock) on Tues. nights from 6 to 8 pm.  All are welcome.
 
Faith Lutheran 2015 Bus Trips

The Hub

DivorceCare
 - groups for adults, teens and kids. DivorceCare is a weekly support group designed to help those recovering from separation or divorce.  DC4K is a companion program for kids ages 4 - grade 5 and meets at the same time.  Teen group meets on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. starting later this fall.  You are invited to join us anytime starting Mon, Sept. 15 @ 6:30 p.m. at Riverside Church. Third Thursdays Group
-focuses on finding peace and hope after loss. ​“Strategies for Facing the Holidays” is the first topic to be offered at “Third Thursdays”, a new community program at Faith Lutheran Church, Becker.  The monthly gathering is open to anyone who has lost a loved one. Participation is free and open to all, regardless of whether one has a church background; no pre-registration is required. The group will have its first monthly meeting on Thur., Dec. 18, at 7 p.m., fellowship hall, 11755 Sherburne Ave., Becker. Ashley Prentice is the keynote presenter for this initial program, and co-organizer of the series, together with Pastor Dick Wehrs. For more information, call the church office at (763) 261-5751.
 
SHC Winter Lecture Series
 -The Sherburne History Center’s Winter Lecture Series is back!  The series features St. Cloud State University graduate students who will be speaking on their historical research. Programs at Becker Public Library
 -Author Gretchyn Quernemoen will be at the Becker Public Library on Jan. 12th at 7 pm. Hear the local author discuss her book “Sixty-Six First Dates”. She will describe how her idea for the book started, her writing process, how she got published and answer questions. For teens and adults. No registration required. Beginning Manga Art Lessons with Gary Harbo on Jan. 14th at 4pm. Join us as Gary Harbo teaches how to draw Manga characters. This class is for ages 12-18. Please bring a sharpened lead pencil and eraser. Class size is limited so registration is required. A Legacy Event.

Becker Hearts and Hands Quilt Guild

MHS offering 2015 Summer Camps
 -The Minnesota Historical Society is offering a wide variety of summer camps, including weeklong and 1-day camps. Finishing School for Young Ladies, Huck Finn Day Camp, History Detective Camp and Arts on the River Day Camp are just a few. Registration is now open and spots fill up quick!
