Clear Lake Sons of the American Legion

-The Clear Lake Legion is sponsoring a SAL squadron, the charter application will be submitted in January. Eligible male descedents of legion members need to call Bud Stimmler   by Jan. 7 with questions or in order to have thier name on the charter. 320-761-5793.

Computer Learning and More

 -at the ABE Computer Lab at Monticello Workforce Center. We also offer preparation for the Special Boiler’s License Examination and GED prep. All services are free and open to the public. You don’t have to be unemployed to use these services. Call to get started 763-271-3768.

Third Thursdays Group

 -focuses on finding peace and hope after loss. ​“Strategies for Facing the Holidays” is the first topic to be offered at “Third Thursdays”, a new community program at Faith Lutheran Church, Becker.  The monthly gathering is open to anyone who has lost a loved one. Participation is free and open to all, regardless of whether one has a church background; no pre-registration is required. Ashley Prentice is the keynote presenter for this initial program, and co-organizer of the series, together with Pastor Dick Wehrs. Clear Lake Lions Fish Fry

 -is 4:30-7:30 p.m., Feb. 20 at St. Marcus Parish in Clear Lake. All you can eat fish, potatoes, french fries and more. 

 

 - at Mary of the Visitation Church, 440 Lake Street No, from 4-7 p.m. Sun., Feb. 15. Homemade spaghetti dinner complete with salad and dessert bar will be served. It will be a night to enjoy the company of family, friends and other members of our communities while feasting on wonderful food and drink. This red carpet evening includes live music, a “selfie studio” and more. Dress in your best or come casual.  All are welcome.

When you give to our local food shelf during the month of March, Minnesota  Food Share will add their incentive dollars to yours.  Because of our buying power and limited space, financial donations are preferred.  However, donations of food are always accepted.  Bring your donation to the food shelf during our open hours or mail to the address listed below. The Clearwater/Clear Lake Food Shelf hours: Mon. 5:30–7 p.m., Tues. 9-11 a.m. and 6-8 p.m., Wed. 3-5 p.m.

 

 -Practice and auditions for the Becker High School (Dazzlers) Dance Team are open to girls entering grades 7-12 in the 2015-2016 school year.
