Becker Legion And Auxiliary Meeting Day Change 
Has changed to the third Tuesday of every month at 8 p.m.

Becker Lions Collecting Items To Recycle 
Items are: eye glasses, hearing aids, cell phones and printer ink cartridges. Collection boxes are located at the Becker Community Center (entryway) and Insight Eye care.

Clearwater-Clear Lake Food Shelf
Is open Mon. 5:30-7 pm, Tues. 9-11 am and 6-8 pm, Wed. 3-5 pm and is in the brown Lions Community Building beneath the water tower in Clearwater.  We service residents of Clearwater and Clear Lake.
 
Computer Learning and More

Horseshoe Pitching

Third Thursdays Group
Focuses on finding peace and hope after loss. “Strategies and coping mechanisms” are discussed each “Third Thursday”, a community program at Faith Lutheran Church, Becker. The monthly gathering is open to anyone who has lost a loved one. Participation is free and open to all, regardless of whether one has church background; no pre-registration is required. Becker PTSA
-2016 Famaily Movie Series tickets are available again this year! 6 Movies for only $6 at Monticello 15 and Rogers 18 Theatres. Movies begin showing Jan. 23-Feb. 28 at 10:40 a.m. & 1 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday. The featured movies are Shaun the Sheep, Minions, Penguins of Madagascar, Spongebob: Sponge out of Water, Hotel Transylvania 2 and Home. To purchase your tickets, forms are available at school offices or go to PTSA website http://beckerptsa.weebly.com, send completed form with payment to your child’s school, Attn: Becker PTSA. Tickets will be delivered to your student. Tickets are available through Jan. 29.

Becker Boy Scout Pack 92
Hosts a cardboard and paper recycling drive. Bring all of your unwanted paper and cardboard recyclables to the dumpsters located between the Hardware Store and Food Pride from 9am-12n on the first Saturday of every month and a friendly scout will help you unload your unwanted paper/cardboard items.

St. Croix Hospice is seeking volunteers to provide companionship to individuals affected by a life-limiting illness. Wright County Public Health offers cholesterol testing in the Wellness on Wheels (WOW) Van. The entire test (the fasting complete profile) takes about 30 minutes.  There is a $30 fee. National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
Of MN sponsors free support groups for families who have a relative with a mental illness. Led by trained facilitators who also have a family member with mental illness, the support groups help families develop better coping skills and find strength through sharing their experiences. A family support group meets in St. Cloud at 7 p.m., on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, at Calvary Community Church, 1200 Roosevelt Road. Sherburne History Center Winter Lecture
The third annual winter lecture series kicks off Wed., Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. The first speaker will be Jeff Williams presenting, “Why Iowa? Located within the Wright County Government Center, is open to the public; it also hosts a law clinic once a week. Mon, Tues, Wed and Fridays 8 a.m.-noon & 1-4:30 p.m., Thurs. 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and 3-4:30 p.m. The law clinic, in cooperation with Central Minnesota Legal Services is every Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. If you have a legal issue here in Wright County, and are     looking for some free legal advice, you are welcome to attend the clinic. Clinics typically book up a week in advance. Each person that signs up for the law clinic will meet one-on-one with a volunteer attorney for approximately 10-15 minutes.
