Big Lake Lioness

The Big Lake Lioness with the assistance of the Big Lake Legion and Legion Auxiliary will be donating Coborns Gift Cards to 26 seniors in the Big Lake area. To respect the health and safety of our seniors, these cards will be mailed to the recipients starting next week. Our thanks to both the legion and auxiliary for contributing to this project. 

Beginning December 1, the Lioness in conjunction with Riverwood Bank in Big Lake will once again host the MITTEN TREE. Mittens, hats, scarf's will be collected throughout the month of December at Riverwood Bank from those wishing to donate either hand-made or purchased items. In January, the items will be collected and dispersed to local elementary schools in Big Lake and Becker by Lioness members. Since the Lioness are unable to have their monthly bingo with residents at the Monticello Care Center, we will be sending each resident a Christmas card. During this difficult time, we hope a card will help brighten their spirits this coming holiday season. 

It is with regard we announce this year's SHOPPING WITH SANTA will be CANCELLED.  The annual event, which provides home-made gift items for children to purchase for friends and family, has always been a huge success in the community. As COVID cases continue to rise in Sherburne County it was determined there was no safe way the event could be done this year. We look forward to being able to provide this 'shopping experience' to our young shoppers next year!

If you are interested in learning more about the organization and those we serve, our meetings are open to the public. We encourage anyone interested to join us the second Monday of the month at Lions Park on CR 5 in Big Lake.  Our social starts at 6:30pm and the meeting will begin at 7:00pm. All are welcomed to attend!
