Anna’s Tea for Widows in the Community
Thurs. April 14 at 3:30 p.m. join widows around the community at Becker Baptist Church, 11951 Hancock St. Lacey from Big Lake Floral will teach us how to design a spring floral arrangement. Annandale Christian Women's Club
Men and women plan on attending the Annual Guest Night event called "Birds, Butterflies and Blossoms", April 14, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 331 Harrison St. 6:30 p.m. punch, 7 p.m. dinner and program. Enjoy a special feature about wooden carved Scandinavian Nissi Figurines. Also, special music by Sheldon Hedin of Dassel and guest speakers David & Arlene Gabrielson of Mankato who will be sharing together about "Crazy Love"- a story of lies, heartache and miracles. Jewelry Roadshow program for adults Mon., April 4, 6-7:30 p.m. Gemological Institute of America certified diamond specialist Jen Anfinson will help you discover creative ways to redesign your jewelry. Bring your jewelry box treasures and questions for group discussion. Becker Public Library is offering Preschool Storytime for ages 3-6, 10:30-11:15 a.m. on Tuesdays through April, beginning April 5. Preschool Storytime involves stories, singing and crafts to help build kindergarten readiness. Becker Book Club for adults will meet in library on Thurs., April 14, 6:30-7:30 p.m. The book for discussion is “Firefly Lane” by Kristin Hannah. Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid for Seniors in Sherburne County
The St. Cloud office of Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid has received a grant of older Americans Act funds from the Central Minnesota Council on Aging to provide legal services for seniors residing in Sherburne County. The funds will be used to provide legal advice, couseling and representation in court and administrative hearings. There is no cost for these services. Appointments are held at Guardian Angels Senior Housing in Elk River and can be scheduled by calling 763-241-4430. Seniors can also call the St. Cloud office of Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid toll free at 1-888-360-2889.
