JUNIOR SAMANTHA ANGELL is in mid-season form as she continues to lead the Bulldog volleyball team in all assets of the game. Tuesday, Angell had 10 kills, 17 digs and two aces. Sept. 9, she had eight kills, 12 digs and three aces. She was also named to the all-tournament team last weekend along with Kalie Jergens during the Tournament of Roses event at Becker High School.

Volleyball Team Improves To 8 5

The Becker Bulldog girls volleyball team improved to 8-5 with two regular season wins and a second place finish in a home tournament.

Becker held off Zimmerman Tuesday on the road in Granite Ridge Conference action.
 
Game scores were 25-22, 15-25, 23-25, 19-25.
 
Sam Angell had 10 kills, 17 digs and two aces. Sam Haugen had 11 Kills and four aces. Whitney Raygor and Sydney Busch combined  for 31 assists.
 
Tournament of Roses
The Lady Bulldogs hosted a six-team tournament last Saturday and took home the second place prize.
 
Becker played tough, winning games against Rockford (21-25, 16-25), Legacy Christian Academy (2-0) and St. Paul Highland Park (25-21,21-25,5-15) before losing to Simley in the championship match two games to one.  
 
Angell and Kalie Jergens were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Sept. 9, the Bulldogs hosted a match against Mora and swept them in three sets.
 
Angell had eight kills, 12 digs and three aces. Jergens had eight kills and five aces. Busch and Raygor combined for 27 assists.
