Former Minnesota Viking offensive guard and hall-of-famer Randall McDaniel came to Becker to golf last Friday in support of the Pebble Creek Women's Club Charity Golf event to be held July 28.  As a teacher, McDaniel is well aware of the need for programs that fight childhood hunger, such as the Becker Backpack Buddies.

 

McDaniel is a second grade teacher at Hilltop Primary Elementary School in Westonka.

 

 Friday, McDaniel signed footballs and other items that will be available in the silent auction or raffle from 4 - 9 p.m., which is open to the public.  People are asked to show their  support and help raise funds for this worthy cause.

 

 “A big thank you to Troy Malo and the Pebble Creek staff for their hospitality, professionalism and assistance they provided throughout the day,” said Denise Weiss.  

 

“I had a blast, the course is great and I'll be back to golf again here” McDaniel said.
