Trap Shooters Finish Regular Season As Conference Champs

The Becker Bulldog trap shooting team had another incredible week and took home the title in the Class AA Conference 4 standings.
 
Week five saw Becker score a season-high 3,494 points to finish the regular season with 16,262.5 points — over 2,517 points higher than second place Brainerd.
 
Becker’s Heidi Voigt won the Class AA Conference 4 girls title finishing the season with an average weekly score of 21.0. Samantha May was second at 19.70.
 
For the boys, Michael Sakry was Becker’s top shooter, averaging 22.90 points and he captured  fourth place in the standings. Carter Garding and Ethan Quill were fifth and sixth place with scores of 22.70 (Garding) and 22.30 (Quill).
 
Rounding out the top 25 boys shooters are: Kyle Schroeder (21.80), Evan Schmidt (21.80), Tanner Hammer (21.70), Sam Somrock (21.60) Zach Anderson (21.60), Blake Sandeen (21.50) and Mitch Soenneker (21.50).
 
For the girls’ top 25 (after Voigt and May) are: Karen Schroeder (17.90), Maria Sakry (17.70), Claire Voigt (17.60), McKenna Anderson (17.30) and Leah Anderson (14.70).
 
The Bulldogs move on to participate in the Minnesota High School Clay Target League Championship,  June 11-16 in Alexandria where the top six teams will go the Minnesota State High School League Tournament June 20 at the Minneapolis Gun Club in Prior Lake.
