Becker 97, Albany 89

Tuesday, Becker hosted Albany and it was another close meet that came down to the last event and this time Becker came out ahead.

Becker’s divers (Emi Quill, Emily Skelton, Abby Hendrickson) went 1-2-3  to help Becker gain the team win.  Quill came very close to breaking the pool record (missing it by only 1.4 points).

“With three years left to dive for Becker, I see her breaking that record as well as the varsity record that has been there since 1998,” said a proud Head Coach, Tina Tamm.

Becker now has 15 girls already qualified to swim in the section meet and Tamm hopes to add at least five more.

“There are a few girls that are so close to the section cut times in events,” she said.  “We have two more regular season meets left and the conference meet so they still have those chances to get the cut times.”

Becker’s JV/junior high swimmers are set to compete in Milaca Monday and the varsity team return to the pool at Little Falls on Oct. 22.
