Swimmers Compete In True Team Saturday

The Bulldog varsity swimming/diving team competed in the True Team Invitational last Saturday at Sauk Rapids-Rice.

This meet gives the girls a chance to see what competition they might face when they get to the section meet in November.

Head Coach Tina Tamm said her girls had some good swims last weekend and “look like they should fare pretty well in the section meet.”

Improved times for the day go to the following girls: Allison Sanderson in the 200M freestyle and Kyla Henkemeyer in the 50M freestyle — along with many relay splits that were improved.

JV Meet
Tamm’s JV squad competed Monday where the  girls get to swim more events than they would normally when varsity swims.

The girls who placed and received ribbons for their placement go to: Piper Romfo, fifth in the 200M freestyle and eighth in the 100M butterfly; Morgan Schrader, fifth in the 500M freestyle; Monica Zimmerman, seventh in the 100M breaststroke; Kyla Henkemeyer in the 500M freestyle.

Girls who just missed out of ribbon placement but had improved times were:

Arleigh Pudlick, Monica Zimmerman, Morgan Schrader and Kyla Henkemeyer in the 200M medley relay; Nev Bjorlin in the 100M butterfly; Chloe McDonald in the 100 freestyle.

Katelyn Uecker, Tia Schaap, Nadine Super and Kyla Henkemeyer in the 200M freestyle relay.

“It was a good meet for the JV girls,” said Tamm. They swam well and I am excited to see all of these girls continue to improve over the next few years.”
