The Becker Bulldog girls swim and dive team hosted the Section 5A True Team meet last Saturday. Nine teams came to Becker for the championship meet and Monticello left with the first place title.
“It was great to be able to host such a big meet,” said Head Coach Tina Tamm. “We would not have been able to do this with our old facility. I also want to say thank you to all who helped make the meet possible. Without all the extra help, we would not have had such a successful day.”
Medal winners for the day were Andrea Molus in the 200 freestyle (fifth place) and the 500 freestyle (sixth place); Nicole Larrison in the 50 freestyle (fifth place); Jade Erson in the 50 freestyle (sixth place) and 100 freestyle (third place); Macy Erson in the100 freestyle (seventh place) and Molus, Larrison, Macy Erson, Jade Erson in the 400 freestyle relay (second place).
Jalissa Johnson qualified for sections in the 200 IM and Emily Lipinski qualified for sections in the 100 Butterfly.
Becker 95 Ogilvie 82
Becker won first place in nine of the 12 events held at Ogilvie High School Tuesday.
The winners include Molus, J. Erson, Lipinski, M. Erson in the 200 medley relay; Molus in the 200 and 500 freestyle; Jade Erson in the 200 IM and 100 freestyle; Macy Erson in the 50 freestyle; Emi Quill in diving; Emma Lefebvre in the 100 backstroke and Lefebvre, M. Erson, J. Erson, Molus in the 400 freestyle relay.
Becker has one more regular season home meet left versus Holdingford Tuesday, then they host the Granite Ridge Conference meet Saturday at 11 a.m.
