Monday was another dominating performance for the Becker girls golf team, as this time Layla Mathews scored meet medalist honors en route to another Bulldog conference match win.
Mathews, just a sophomore, fired a round of 78 to take the top spot in the match held at Bulrush Golf Course in Rush City. Her impressive score was aided by her first ever Eagle, as she chipped in a tremendous shot on a par 5 hole.
As a team, Becker scored a 345, breaking their season best score once again.
“It was great having our four golfers score in the top ten,” Coach Anna Babler said.
Alexa Voller fired am 82 to finish third, while Emma Benson shot an 89 for seventh place. Avery Johnson rounded out the scoring with a 10th place round of 96.
Wednesday the team traveled to Purple Hawk in Cambridge for the final M8 meet and a conference title on the line.
