CASEY VESLEDAHL pitched well enough Monday night to earn the victory for the Becker Legion baseball team against Nisswa.

Legion Team Improves To 3 2 With Win Over Nisswa

Jaden Miller and Matt Casperson each finished with two hits, two runs and an RBI for the Nisswa Legion, who fell to host Becker 7-6 Monday.

Casey Vesledahl was the winning pitcher for Becker while Logan Madsen was tagged with the loss. Madsen pitched 2.1 innings in relief of starter Bryce Flanagan.

Madsen also went 1-4 with an RBI and Allen Jevning and Dylan Vanek each scored a run for Nisswa (3-3).

Becker (3-2) collected 14 hits while giving up nine in a game that featured four errors on the field — three by the home team.

Eric Blomgren had two doubles in the win while Austin Rasmussen had one.

Last week, Becker beat Waite Park 13-4 Thursday and the June 16 game against Big Lake was suspended due to inclement weather. That game will be finished Tuesday with Becker leading the game 6-2 in the fourth inning.

Next up for Becker is a road game Monday at the 76ers and a home game against Big Lake Tuesday.
