Legion Team Beats Monticello, Little Falls — Loses To Cold Spring And Sauk Rapids

The Becker Legion baseball team has played six games so far this season with four of the games being reported on from the last few weeks.
 
Becker 10, Little Falls 8
 
Braden Backowski went 2-for-4 with a run scored as Little Falls lost to host Becker 10-8 Monday night.
 
Thomas Miller was 1-2 with three runs scored and two stolen bases. Alec Zack was 1-3 with two runs scored.
 
Evan Athman pitched four innings with one strikeout. Chris Reller pitched two innings with one strikeout.
 
Cold Spring 10, Becker 5
 
Cold Spring rallied to score seven runs in the top of the seventh inning on the road Thursday night to beat Becker 10-5 in an American Legion baseball game.
 
Jordan Barth cleared the bases with a double to break open the scoring for Cold Spring, who trailed 5-3 coming into the inning. Barth finished the day 4-for-5.
 
Becker was led by Andrew Berglund, who went 2-for-4.
 
Cole Field and Trevor Lardy each had three hits for Cold Spring (2-0).
 
Lardy picked up the win in relief.
 
Hunter Arhens, Alex Budde and Calvin Kalthoff added two hits apiece for Cold Spring.
 
Becker 6,  Monticello 4
 
The boys Legion team defeated Monticello  by two runs at home June 9.
 
No other information was made available to the Citizen by press time.
 
Sauk Rapids 11, Becker 1
 
Bjorn Hanson finished 3-for-3 with three RBI and a double as Sauk Rapids coasted past Becker at home June 8.
 
Andrew Stanger led Becker with two hits.
 
Lucas Bentrud pitched all five innings with one run allowed on four hits to get the win. He added three hits and two RBI at the plate.
 
Zach Fuecker also had three hits, including a double, for Sauk Rapids. Mat Meyer and Tyler Bjork each drove in two runs.
 
The boys also played games against Big Lake (June 16) and Waite Park (June 18) but no information on the results of the games was made available to the Citizen by press time.
