Tuesday, Coach Jen Harmoning decided to “water down” a lot of the difficulty in her girls’ routines against Paynesville-Eden Valley-Watkins since the varsity team has True Team Championships this weekend.

“We wanted them to feel fresh and strong for the weekend, and we didn't want to chance injuries,” she said.  “We still had a nice score, so that was a good thing, although we had more falls on bars than we normally would.”

Vault Exercise
Severson topped all competitors on vault with a solid score on a tough event.

Results:
1). Severson, 9.05; 2).  Lahr, 8.95; 3). Hubbard, 8.85; 6).  Olsen, 8.325; 8). Miranda O'Brien, 8.2.

Beam Exercise
“We were a little bit wobbly on beam in some places, but we did not have to count a fall,” said Harmoning. “I like how the consistency is getting on this event.”

Results:
1).  O'Brien, 9.125; 2). Wilke, 9.05; 3). Olsen, 8.975; 4). Hubbard, 8.775; 5). Severson, 7.95.

Up Next
“We are looking forward to competing with the best teams in the state in Willmar Saturday (today),” said Harmoning. “We had one of the lowest qualifying scores, so we are hoping to compete well and possibly move up a couple of spots.”
Tuesday, the girls return home for a meet with Maple Lake, then hit the road Friday to take on the Wildcats from Eagan.
