GRFIA golf scramble nets perfect day

Monday, members of the Great River Faith In Action (GRFIA) organization hosted a golf scramble at Pebble Creek. Dozens of area citizens, business owners and GRFIA supporters laced up their golf shoes, strapped their bags to their carts and headed to their designated holes in hopes of scoring low.

Or, at least in most cases, getting the day off of work and  backing an association that is important to the local communities.

Darin Bohlken, who had been heading up the golf scramble as executive director for the last several years, was on-hand to help guide and promote the organization’s new ED, Maureen Baty.

“I’m so excited to continue the great work that Darin and the whole team is doing,” says Baty.  “I am also eager to have FIA grow slowly and get our name out there, so that we can help more people. “

Great River Faith in Action is a volunteer-based, nonprofit located in Becker, that serves the elderly and struggling families/individuals in Sherburne County and parts of Wright County. They assist the community by bringing together those that need help and those that are looking to help others.
