The Becker Dazzlers dance team recently held their end of season banquet for 2014-2015 team members.
The evening consisted of a meal, slideshow and awards presentation.
Among the awards presented were all conference honors and those named in jazz were Madison Anderson, Ali Bloom and Alexandra Laudenbach.
All conference honorable mention in jazz went to Mikayla Henkemeyer. All conference in kick went to Lindsey Baloun, Henkemeyer and Heather Sanders. Honorable mention went to Morgan Meyer.
Team members were also given the opportunity to vote for awards for both JV and varsity. Among those awards were most improved, most dedicated and most valuable.
In JV, Autumn Martin was voted most improved, Alyssa Ludens was voted most dedicated and Madison Pleoger was voted MVP.
For varsity, Makenna Kiffmeyer was voted most improved, Baloun was voted most dedicated and Henkemeyer was voted MVP. Henkemeyer also received the scholar athlete award.
This year, the team also presented a new award in honor of teammate Brianna Bertram, who passed away last summer from complications of Cystic Fibrosis. This annual award is presented to someone who demonstrates courage, commitment, persistence and dedication. This year’s Brianna Bertram Award was presented to senior Alyssa Ludens.
Many other awards were presented by the coaches for outstanding individual efforts throughout the season, including recognizing the four graduating seniors: Baloun, Laudenbach, Ludens and Rachel Pena.
The Becker Dazzlers coaching staff would like to thank the parents who helped organize, plan and prepare a very successful and memorable event. 2014-2015 was a great season and all are looking forward to next season.
Auditions for next year's team were recently held and 31 girls were named to the team for the 2015-2016 season.
