The Becker dance team traveled to Target Center last weekend to compete at their fourth consecutive state dance tournament. The team took 10th in jazz on Friday and eighth in kick on Saturday despite dancing with nearly one third of the team being first-year dancers. 

Head coach Nadia Fischer-Danzeisen was pleased with her team’s ability to regroup and perform better on the second day of the tournament.  

“I’d like to thank my coaching staff for an outstanding season,” said Coach Fischer-Danzeisen.  “They put in so much work behind the scenes to make sure we met our team goals. And I’d like to thank the seniors and their families for their years of dedication to the team. The impact you’re leaving behind will last years to come!”

For Class AA, Benilde St. Margaret’s won the jazz state championship and Totino-Grace won the kick championship.
