The Becker boys golf team finished third in a Granite Ridge Conference meet Thursday in Albany and remain in second place behind St. Cloud Cathedral who won the event.
The meet — which was scheduled for 18 holes but reduced to nine due to flooding — was won by Cathedral’s Kyle Haag, who shot an incredible 37. Becker’s Brandon Abrahamson shot the best score for the Bulldogs with a five over 41.
“All of the kids played well, but had a hole or two that hurt their scores,” said Head Coach Dan Olson. “It is hard to recover from a bad hole in a nine hole meet.”
