The Hornet girls’ basketball team lost three games this past week, including two Mississippi 8 Conference matchups. 

Vs. C-I

Last Thursday, the girls lost 67-50 against Cambridge-Isanti. 

Vs. Buffalo

Friday, the Hornets were defeated by Buffalo 57-41.  Ashley Fitzgibbons and Shiloh Elliott led the team in scoring with 12 points apiece. Mya Knapp was next with seven points, Kaelyn Besler added four, Greta Layton had three, Emm Greischar two, and Alexa Parks one.

Vs. North Branch

Tuesday, the Hornets lost to North Branch 65-61. 

The Hornets built a one-point, 28-27 halftime lead, but were unable to hang on late as the Vikings outscored them by five in the second half.

Coming up for the Hornets is a trio of conference matchups starting on Thursday at Princeton. Then the team will host Chisago Lakes on Saturday and Zimmerman next Tuesday.
