The Becker dance team traveled to a large competitive invitational at Eastview High School last Saturday. This was the first time that top state contenders went head-to-head in a mini-state tournament at the beginning of the season. 

Becker performed well with Jazz taking seventh place and Kick taking eighth place. They fell right behind St. Francis, who they hope to beat at the Conference Championship Meet in North Branch. 

The girls have been working really hard this season with the hopes that they can secure a trip to state after they compete in the section tournament  January 31. A spotlight shines on Varsity Jazz after they were invited for the first time to perform at The University of Mankato Dance Team’s send-off for nationals. 

“We’re honored to be recognized as good enough to perform there,” said Head Coach Nadia Fischer-Danzeisen.
