10 U Blast Blue Softball Team Heading To State And Nationals!

The Becker Blast girls 10U  Blue softball team captured fourth place at the state qualifying tournament this past weekend in Mound, earning them the chance to compete at state in Hastings the weekend of July 11-12. Their finish also qualified them to compete at nationals the following weekend in Bloomington, MN.

Forty-four teams took part in the state qualifying tournament.

Also, when the forty-four teams got whittled down to the top six teams (including Becker), there was a 30-minute delay during games because of inclement weather so the teams got together on the field to have some fun. The girls from all the remaining teams put aside their rivalry for some spontaneous fun as they got in a circle and did a “dance-off”.

The team is coached by Ben Patnode and Kevin Drehmel and consists of: Hannah Bartlett, Daelyn Brannan, Kennedy Drehmel, Nevaeh Gardner, Elizabeth Mackedanz, Emily Meyer, Eve Otteson, Lilyana Parga, Kaylyn Patnode and Kurstyn Patnode.
