Ronald Jerome Vincent, age 82 of Big Lake, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on March 17, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Josephine Vincent and his sister Loretta (Vahan Sargisian). He is survived by his wife Sally Vincent (Bolin) his sister Joyce (Robert Charron), his children Ronda Aho (Calvin Aho), Michael Vincent, Donnie Vincent (Jennifer Wolff), grandchildren Sheyenne Moulzolf, Zachary Moulzolf, Zedekiah Vincent, Grayson Vincent, Tyler Ferrante and his great grandchild Jax Moulzolf.
Ronald grew up in Hartford, Connecticut. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Navy from 1962-1966. During this time, he met Sally and after only three days, a dare amongst friends led to 60 years of marriage. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Ron was larger than life with his laughter, making people smile with his quick wit.
A lover of nature, hunting and fishing, he enjoyed traveling to many national and state parks, his favorite being Yellowstone National Park, and later in life traveled to the Arctic Circle in Alaska caribou hunting. He enjoyed deer hunting in MN and WI, fishing for redfish in Louisiana and traveled to Oregon many times to visit family & friends.
The most charismatic Oscar the Grouch. He had many friends, volunteered for many years in the community to help others and held his civic duties in high regard. He is loved and will be dearly missed.
Open visitation will be held Sat., April 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Saron Lutheran Church, 311 Lake Street S., Big Lake, MN. Service will start at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in care of Sally Vincent to PO Box 693, Big Lake, MN 55309.
