Robert Gene Schelinder passed away at his home with his wife Linda, of 52 years, by his side on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in Clearwater, MN.  

Bob was born June 13th, 1938 in Duluth, MN, the son of Herbert & Luetta (Ronning) Schelinder.  He married Linda on August 20, 1971 in Webster, SD.   They lived in the Hasty/Silver Creek area all of their married lives.  Bob was employed with Zenith Products/Anchor Block as a supervisor, retiring after 53 years in 2011.

Bob loved hunting & fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.  Road-trips with his wife cross country, be it to CA, NY, TN, FL or Canada.  Bob always wanted to travel by car because he said getting there was a vacation in itself.  He also loved taking his grandkids out to Yellowstone National Park, almost every year, when they were young.  

Bob is survived by daughters, Deanna (Mark) Hanson of Becker & Jodi Schelinder of Avon; grandchildren, Matthew Robert Hanson and Samantha Lynn (Gabriel) Soriano both of Monticello; great grandsons, Samuel Arthur Miller Soriano, Anthony William Hanson Soriano, and Zachary Robert Hanson Soriano who is due in June.  Bob’s grandson, Matthew Robert Hanson and great grandson, Zachary Robert Hanson Soriano being namesakes of Robert.  He is also survived by sister, Beverly (Kenny) Marquette of Buffalo; sisters-in-law, Jean and Arlene Schelinder; his 2 beloved house cats, Shadow & Tasmanian Devil/Tazzy and many outside cats, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins & other relatives & friends.

 Bob was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lee (Barb), Donald, Ronald; and sister, Barbara (Maynard) Rossberg.
